Indicatie
Arterial Leader Cath is mainly used for arterial access (radial, femoral, pedial, brachial artery). The Seldinger technique makes arterial puncture easier particularly in hypotensive patients with a weak peripheral pulse and when the arteries are atherosclerosed or narrow.
Beschrijving
Leader Cath is a transparent catheter with radiopaque lines for arterial access, inserted using the Seldinger technique. It is supplied in a rigid blister pack containing:- 1 introducer needle
- a PE catheter tapered at the distal end, with anti-kinking sleeve and winged hub for the fixation of the device.
- a straight metallic guidewire
- a polyurethane extension tube (10 cm long) with arterial Bionector
