Indicatie
The LIFECATH-PICC Line is intended for use in patients who require mid-long term IV therapy. It may be used to administer hyperalimentation, antibiotics, chemotherapy, drugs for pain management, or be inserted peripherally by specially trained nurses. Placement may be undertaken peripherally or by surgical “cut down” by a suitable trained physician. The catheter is suitable for use with volumetric pump infusors and syringes drivers, provided the max. continuous infusion pressure are controlled below 21.75 psi (1.5 bar). Be aware that organic solvents such as alcohol or acetone may interact with catheter material and weaken it.
