Indication
Plain endotracheal tube (without cuff) for endotracheal intubation of neonates, infants and children.
Description
Plain paediatric endotracheal tubes code 520.xx are designed as follows:
- Green tube with radiopaque line in extra-soft PVC. The distal end of the tube is bevelled to 38°. They have a 17mm intubation depth mark at the distal end. The tube has distance markings every 0.5cm for tubes of size 2.0 to 3.5; distance markings every cm from 9 to 21cm for tubes of size 4.0 and 4.5; distance marking every cm from 13 to 21cm for tubes of size 5.0 and distance markings every cm from 15 to 25cm for tubes of size 5.5 to 6.5.
- A standard male ISO adaptor 15 mm to connect the endotracheal tube to the ventilator.
10 sizes are available: from 2.0mm internal diameter to 6.5mm.
