Indication
This double-lumen venous umbilical catheter is mainly used for neo-natal emergencies, for a short period. It is used for perfusion of solutions, transfusion, measurement of central venous pressure, injection of drugs, particularly administration of drugs with incompatible features, etc.
Description
Venous catheter in fully radiopaque polyurethane with 2 distal openings (code 1272.04), with distal opening and lateral eye (codes 1272.14 and 1274.14/17). Smoothed distal tip.
Centimetre graduations 4 to 20 cm from distal tip (code 1272.04 and 1272.14), and 4 to 25 cm from distal tip (codes 1274.14 and 1274.17). Proximal extension tubes (PUR) length: 5 cm, with clamp.
- Reduces the number of subsequent peripheral routes required
- Fewer attempts at peripheral insertion required: increases the comfort of neonates.
