Indication
Multicath 2 is a double-lumen CVC introduced in the internal jugular, subclavian or femoral vein allowing:
- infusion of any type of I.V. solution (parenteral nutrition, fluid loading, hypertonic...)
- simultaneous administration of medication even those presenting chemical incompatibilities

- A choice of multi-lumen CVCs designed and adapted to the needs of the paediatric patient according to age, height and weight:
- 2 or 3 lumens
- diameters: 3, 4.5 and 5.5 Fr
- lengths: 6 to 30 cm. - A choice of polyurethane multilumen CVC according to patient risk:
- multicath: standard PUR for low risk patients
- multistar: antimicrobial technology with rifampicin and miconazole for high risk patients - Components designed for the safety of paediatric patients:
- a choice of introducers : hyper echogenic needle or short I.V cannula
- highly kink resistant double ended flexible, J and straight, nitinol guidewire coated with teflon for ultra low resistance
Description
Neonatal and paediatric double-lumen central venous catheterRadiopaque central venous catheter inserted by Seldinger technique. Centimetre markings from 4 cm from distal tip and Robert clamps. Straight Nitinol guidewire particularly kink-resistant. The user can choose from 2 types of introducer, i.e. needle or I.V. cannula. This 3Fr catheter is presently the smallest double-lumen Seldinger catheter available on the market.
Presented in a rigid blister pack containing:
- 1 double-lumen 3Fr catheter
- 1 short I.V. cannula 24G - Length 19 mm
- 1 introducer echogenic needle 21G - Length 38 mm
- 1 Nitinol straight guidewire
- 2 dilators 3Fr (Length 3 cm and 5 cm)
- 1 secondary fixation wing
- 2 injection caps
- 1 scalpel
- 1 5 ml syringe
