Indicatie
Paediatric Multicath 2 is a double-lumen CVC inserted in the jugular, subclavian or femoral vein using the Seldinger technique allowing:
- Infusion of parenteral nutrition, drugs administrations
- Transfusion of blood, or blood products
- Repeated blood samplings
- Simultaneous administration of medication even those presenting chemical incompatibilities
- Central venous pressure measurements...

Paediatric double-lumen central venous catheterRadiopaque polyurethane central venous catheter inserted by Seldinger technique. Centimetre markings from 5cm from the distal tip and Robert clamps. Supple distal tip.
The diameter of the distal lumen is the same as that of the proximal lumen: 2x20G.
Paediatric Multicath 2 is available with :
- 1 STANDARD STRAIGHT guidewire in stainless steel (codes 1202.xx3 / 1203.xx3)
- 1 TEFLON-COATED STRAIGHT guidewire (codes 1202.xx1 / 1203.xx1) or
- 1 NITINOL "J" guidewire particularly kink-resistant (codes 1202.xx2 / 1203.xx2).
The user can choose from 2 types of introducer, i.e. needle or I.V. cannula.J Nitinol guidewire particularly kink-resistant.
Presented in a rigid blister pack containing:
-1 double-lumen catheter (4.5Fr)
-1 introducer needle 22G - Length 40 mm
-1 short I.V. cannula 22G - Length 25 mm
-1 “J” Nitinol guidewire with Thumbfeed guide advancer
-2 dilators
-1 secondary fixation wing
-2 injection caps
-1 scalpel
-1 syringe 5ml
